AAP has given common people the opportunity to join politics, says Bhagwant Mann

Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) Punjab chief minister candidate and Member of Parliament Bhagwant Mann said that while contesting for the first time in Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal defeated Congress veteran and then CM Sheila Dikshit, similarly to teach a lesson to Congress-SAD leaders here, the people of Punjab should make common leaders of Aam Aadmi Party triumphant.

While addressing at the Party Headquarters on Thursday Bhagwant Mann said that Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is a party for the common people and has given the chance to common people to join politics. He further added, “Our leaders and MLAs come from common and simple backgrounds. That’s why we understand the sufferings of the common people very well. The Aam Aadmi Party gives political confidence and a platform to the common people.”

Bhagwant Mann also added that back in 2013 when Arvind Kejriwal was contesting against former Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, she vehemently asked the media “Who is Kejriwal” and AAP’s response was by defeating Sheila Dikshit with a margin of 25000 votes. Mann said that AAP has always given chances to common people in the political arena. He added that in Elections 2022 there is the majority of candidates from ordinary families. Providing an instance, he said that in Sangrur, against Congress government minister Vijay Inder Singla and Arvind Khanna, AAP’s ordinary woman candidate Narinder Kaur Bharaj is contesting. She does her household chores as well as the election campaign. Similarly, he also took a few more names of candidates who were from ordinary backgrounds. Mann said that they hope this time the people of Punjab will teach a lesson to these big names of Congress, BJP, and SAD by electing the ordinary candidates of the Aam Aadmi Party.

Bhagwant Mann said that Congress can never look beyond nepotism and favoritism and that’s the reason why most of their candidates are family members or relatives of senior Congress leaders such as their sons, nephews and even sons-in-law.
